NEW FEATURE: Expanded Character Profiles
There’s a new, dynamic way to develop your screenplay characters directly within your script!
SoCreate's latest feature lets you enrich character profiles by adding detailed information about their appearance, motivations, and backgrounds—all in one place. No more sorting through multiple documents or keeping notes on paper.
How It Works: Simply hover over a character in your script (or long-press on mobile) and click the small "i" icon. This action opens a portal to deepen your character development without ever leaving SoCreate. Here you can add:
More detailed information about your character’s appearance
What motivates your character
Your character’s biography
These details don’t appear in your screenplay export; think of this feature as a workspace for character development.
This seamless integration allows you to maintain all character details within the SoCreate platform for easy access and consistency. And, expanding these details gives you better understanding of your characters to drive authentic dialogue and actions throughout your story.
Step into SoCreate, your storytelling studio, and experience the power of Expanded Character Profiles at your fingertips!

This week, explore the fantasy genre with our mystical writing prompt!
Location: Outside (EXT) – Elfin Forest
Characters: Elara (100), Caelum (40)
Set the Scene: Elara, a powerful elf who controls access to the western portion of a magical continent, is busy in her tower spinning a glowing thread that her realm uses for trade. She’s interrupted by her guards, informing her that a traveler is at the gates, asking for permission to pass.
Prompt: Caelum, a traveler on a mission to find his family whom he believes to be in the western portion of the continent, must pass through the elves’ access point to begin his journey. But as someone who is much younger than Elara, Caelum doesn’t know the dangers the journey holds, and the dangers he’ll face as he journeys to the western side. What does Elara reveal to him that makes him consider turning back? How can her glowing thread help him on his journey?
That's it for this week's Museletter! We hope it inspired you to write. Your stories are important, and every sentence you add brings you one step closer to a finished story you can share with the world!
