Calling All Writing Groups & Script Consultants
We’re cooking up something amazing over here at SoCreate – a new Feedback feature that’s going to make getting and giving feedback on screenplays so. much. simpler. You’ll no longer dread asking someone to read your script, and they’ll no longer dread getting the request!
Story View
Script View
Our incredible new Feedback interface is almost ready for primetime, but we need a few lucky writers to test it for us.
We’re looking for writing groups who are currently in the process of getting and giving feedback on each other's scripts. Scripts must be in SoCreate format or Final Draft file format for this project; it makes importing the screenplays into SoCreate seamless.
Participants chosen to test SoCreate Feedback will get one month of the SoCreate Professional Plan for FREE. In exchange, we’ll be asking for your opinions on the new feature via a quick survey.
Interested? Please contact us ASAP at YourFriends@SoCreate.it.

Week 14: Let’s Write a Screenplay in 2024!
Welcome to week 14 of "Let's Write a Screenplay in 2024!" Now that we’ve been at this process since January, you should be rounding third base on the first draft of your script. According to our timeline, it’s due in just less than a month!
To help keep you on track and motivated, here are some wise words about motivation itself.
“I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.” —Stephen R. Covey
That’s right! What happens next is up to you. No one is coming to write that script for you; you have to make the decision to do it, to make time, to clear out distractions, and to focus. Your success is a product of whatever you decide to do right now, and again tomorrow, and again.
If you’re just finding this challenge to write a screenplay in 2024, start here.

This week, we’re exploring unexpected connections.
Location: Outside (EXT) – A busy city park, present day
Characters: Jamie (30), Andrew (78)
Set the Scene: The park is alive with the sounds of children playing, dogs barking, and birds singing. At the center of the urban oasis is Jamie, observing birds through her binoculars, documenting sightings in a worn notebook.
Prompt: Jamie, a dedicated birdwatcher, visits the city park every weekend to observe and document bird species. Today, while deeply focused on a rare bird sighting, Jamie is interrupted by Andrew, a stranger who says hello before hinting at a deep connection between Jamie’s past and the present. Write a scene about their interaction and the mysterious message. How does Andrew’s message reveal a connection that challenges Jamie’s understanding of her hobby and herself?
*You can use SoCreate without an account, but you will not be able to save your work.
That's it for this week's Museletter! We hope it inspired you to write. Your stories are important, and every sentence you add brings you one step closer to a finished story you can share with the world!
